A person is an elementary concept used in designing a user interface and achieving the required level of usability, which is a description of a typical user entering the target audience of your resource. Despite the fact that the person is a fictional representation of the user, the data used to create it is quite real. That is, this is a model that should be as close as possible to the real potential user. A scenario is nothing more than a “story” about the movements the user makes and the actions he takes during interaction with your application or site. In other words, using such scenarios, the behavioral features of the user of your resource are described, that is, the intended sequences of his actions and their motivation, the capabilities of the user, and the goals pursued by him. The scenarios describe everyday situations, thus showing to what extent the application or site meets the current needs of users in the person’s image, what appeals to them, how they use it, why they continue to do it, and so on. Together, these two design tools allow you to design situations and their environment, in which someone uses your site. And this in turn helps to identify problems and opportunities that need attention. Continue reading
